TIROL IN SUMMER

Not only in winter Tyrol with its beautiful natural landscape invites you to vacation. Leisurely alpine hikes or challenging summit ascents. For hikers, Tyrol offers a wide range of possibilities. The Tyrolean lakes offer a welcome cooling on hot summer days. Innsbruck is an Eldorado for mountain bikers, with an extensive network of trails and downhill routes. Rafting, canyoning and paragliding are also popular activities to experience the thrill amidst the impressive nature of Tyrol.

Our top 3 insider tips in summer:

  • Marvel at the sunrise or sunset over the mountain peaks. An experience they will certainly never forget. The sporty among us experience the sunrise most beautifully on the Serles. There are about 1000 meters of altitude to climb from the starting point Maria Waldrast. A more leisurely variant to the sunset is possible on the Patscherkofel. Every Thursday in summer the mountain railroad runs until 23.00. All information can be found on the Patscherkofel Bergbahn website.
  • Enjoy the balmy summer evenings in the guest gardens of Innsbruck’s city center pubs. Observe the lively activity and let it take effect on you.
  • Washed with all waters. Do you dare? A jump into the cold water of the Tyrolean mountain lakes refreshes minds and awakens the spirits.
